Look at this food, isn't it neat?

My friends and I were hungry, and when we are hungry we seek good food! We decided to check out Trattoria al Forno on the Boardwalk in Walt Disney World’s Boardwalk Resort area.

We checked in and realized this was a character breakfast.. only.. apparently not for us. They whisked us away, outside back in the heat, and down the boardwalk a bit to a small, private, seemingly “adult only” dining room, no characters, no singing.. no…….. wait.

Did you just judge us because we were adults with no children and assume we wouldn’t want to be greeted by Ariel, Prince Eric, Rapunzel or Flynn Ryder?!?!

In the famous words of Greta Thunberg, how dare you.

ok ok so we are sitting in the quaint and cute “adult only” area of the restaurant, which btw we could have been brought to through the actual restaurant instead of back outside in the heat, but I digress. The menu fascinated me, because well, I’m easily fascinated by creative food.

I ordered a very delicious Iced coffee, and King Triton’s Shipwreck al Forno; A calzone with scrambled eggs, bell peppers, salumi, bacon, sausage, a blend of Cheeses, and Sunday gravy! You had me at Sunday gravy, all my Italian ancestors too. It smelled divine coming out and tasted just as good.

My friends ordered the Tangled Eggs; Fresh Mozzarella, Tomato-Basil Open-faced Omelet, Sunday Gravy, and Breakfast Potatoes served with Bacon or Sausage, and they enjoyed it just as much, although I’m pretty sure I out ordered them. #winning

Other than being denied my inner child tendencies to sing Part of Your World with Ariel, I would highly recommend Trattoria al Forno for breakfast, but let them know kids or no kids you want to be in the character area, I mean.. if you actually do, I mean.. why wouldn’t you?

l’ll give Breakfast at Trattoria al Forno pixie dust plus!
